Walked into the backroom yesterday and spotted this. Boots two sizes to big. Hat backwards. Saggy pants. Is this what the teenage years will look like? I hope he looses the paci by then!

Sicky. Riley threw up last night (or throwed up as she calls it). So far so good this morning. She is on movie three of the HP marathon that we are having today, and LOVING them. I love that she loves HP. Makes me happy. And Derrick actually sat down and watched with her last night. I am not sure if he would have if she wasn't sick, as he is an adamant HP hater (I try to block that thought out of my mind) but it was sweet nonetheless.

Friday Randomness

Its almost three here, which translates to: Time to wake up the kiddos!! We did you v-day party today and I am hoping that I can keep the candy in the bags until they are ready to walk out the door! Not that I dont mind a little sugar high, but eight kids on a sugar high. Wow.

Nothing much planned for the weekend. Derrick works VDay so the kids and I will bake and decorate special cupcakes for him and maybe bring them in to work for him to share with his crew. We will see how ambitious we decide to be. I have a couple things due for school this weekend/monday. Only one is semi time consuming, so I hope that I can get it done tonight. Otherwise it will just have to wait until tomorrow. And I have a math test due, but those are pretty quick. Not easy, but quick.

Riley is cheering tonight at the villa grove game. I am excited to take some pics and see how she does this time versus the FB game last time. We shall see....

Better yet, two pages in one day?????

It should be notes that “aci” is pronounced ah-ci. And we will have it until kindergarten at this rate.

 

Little bit of jagged edges here. Learning curve with the cricut. As a side note, Riley told Chase this morning, “Chase don't touch me and mommy’s cricut!!!!!”. First. She knows what it is?? I must be training her right!!! Second. Hers and mine? No way José. Mommy doesn't share. :)

Its the Weeeeeekend!!!

I am embarrassed to admit that I am blogging while I upload close to 300 photos to print. Yikes. I have not ordered pics in FOREVER!! Anyway, I got all my homework caught up for next week yesterday and so I wanted to spend time scrapping today. When I looked through my pics almost NOTHING was inspiring me. Then I came across this photo…and made this page….

And I hung it up on my clipboard, and cleared off my other pages. And thats when I realized it. The last 12x12 page I scrapbooked was 10-08-2009. Yikes. So I am on a mission today to scrap more. But holding truw to using my scraps I made this little card after finishing my page….

Really, I should have put the rawr! a little closer to the dinosaur. But oh well. It works.

Scrappy Saturday??

Well not quite. If I can finish up math homework, take a math exam and do a CIS exam, then it can be a scrappy saturday. Which means I should get OFF the computer for non homework related purposes.

 

But. I have to go to the post office to get my scrappy pal’s gift postal.

Everything is SU (which is a challenge of its own for me-I have a hard time sticking to a product line regardless of what it is) besides the stickles. I HAD to sneak those in…..

And… i finished my card with my chosen colors last week….

And learned that I can no longer scan worth a crap. Anyway, I used a new SU stamp set, and the new border punch, both of which were SUPER cute!!

Alright. Homework. Seriously.

Scrappy Goodness for a Scrappy Saturday….

So its icky out. Foggy and cold. But I have pictures to share. . .

First up… December Daily updates….And I apologize if some of these have been posted. But its Saturday, and I am too lazy to look back and see if they have!!!

This two gives you a good idea of the “mixed media” feel of the album. You can see the pages beneath, at the same time as viewing the actual page. Know what I mean?? And I love the look of using all different types of pages, from envelopes to acrylic to chipboard. *sigh* I love it!!

This one is super plain, but super special. It has all the information from my grandpas memorial service, along with journaling about grandpa. I liked that included envelopes for this reason. Its here, in my album, because its very important to me, yet its also private, for the same reason.

YAY!!!! I cant wait to play with this thing. Can. Not. Wait. As in considered putting the kids down for nap at nine AM after picking this beauty up from the post office.

Something about this pink (although it looks redder in this picture) and green together is making me want to start the ghost hunters marathon on DVR and get my hands inky!!! I plan to create a card, and hopefully will post when I am done! I am realizing that I need to use my scraps, so my goal is to create a card every time I do a layout. That way I will have a surplus of cards to give when needed, whether it be a birthday card for someone's birthday, or a group of cards to give to someone for their own use. And too, if I decide to do Woolly Worm this year, I will be ahead of the game. I know, right? Ahead of the game? What's that????

Snow Day!!!!

This last pic is for Matt……I was trying to be as unobtrusive as possible, as Derrick wasnt “photo ready”. Riley has been helping him with the furnace the last couple days, and the other night I walked in and she was sitting on his legs, arms wrapped around his legs to “keep him from falling in the crawlspace” while he worked on the pipes. Cuteness.

 

Snow day today! I only took the kids out for about 15 minutes, but let me tell you, that was enough! We were FREEZING!!! The winds have picked up now, and Derricks drive home was already icky, so I hate to think about how its going to be in the morning! I have been keeping an eye on the closings list, but so far no Villa Grove or Tuscola. I kinda hope that they do have school tomorrow, just because we are just now getting into routine, and I would like to stay that way, but we will have to just wait and see!

I am almost done with my 25 days album! I am really surprised that I have made it to the almost completion point! I usually poop out on projects like this halfway through. I will take new pics of the new pages and post tomorrow.

I am ashamed to admit. The seven drawer cart on the left holds stamps. And its full. And I have another three drawer card (between my bookshelves and this (you can see it above)) that is full as well.

And those little (big) plastic IRIS containers. Miscellaneous (sorted miscellaneous) stickers, journaling tags, rub ons, ect. All full.

 

WHAT????? I can see the top of my desk!!! I am not sure that's ever happened!!

 

It actually took me probably eight hours to get it all done. I got pissed off yesterday, and when I get mad I feel the need to purge. So thats what happened. I started about 1pm yesterday and worked pretty steady and then started back up this morning about 10 and finished at two. Now. Its clean. And I want to play with everything! The best thing about doing a purge like this is finding things that you have bought, run home with *coughhiddenfromthehubbycough* and totally forgot you had. And then you realize that you are also a collector of some things. For example. I learned about midnight last night that I have 46 (yes 46) bottles of Prima flowers. If you ask me though, I will lie and tell you I have a couple. And I realized I have tons of ribbon! I told a friend tonight, that from here on out, everything I make is going to have to have a ribbon and a flower on it. I just need to USE this stuff up!

 

Alright. I want to finish my December Daily album up, while the ideas are still fresh and the room is still clean…..
